The Magical Market Stall

A Slightly Twisted Pop-Up Experience by Scratch Built Productions

A mysterious market stall rolls into town, bringing with it an extraordinary family of eccentric sellers determined to entice audiences with their strange and wondrous wares. Packed with music, puppetry, street comedy, and a dash of magic, this show delivers non-stop, slightly twisted fun—described by audiences as "a human version of Punch and Judy!" Just keep an eye out for the pesky Market Inspector, who is relentlessly trying to shut the whole operation down.

Adding a brilliant, genuine dynamic to the chaos, the cast sometimes features a real-life family—two professional actors alongside their own eight-year-old child!

The Experience:

The chaos begins as the family wheels their barrow into place and an unexpected delivery gets left in the donations box! The audience (customers) gather and the market stall opens for business.

  • Unfolding Cabinet of Curiosities: One side of the stall opens to reveal a short performance, a puppet trick, or an interactive game. As soon as it finishes, that side snaps shut and another opens to reveal a brand-new scene or character.

  • Halloween Antics: Expect eerie wares, chaotic family arguments, sneaky tricks to outsmart the Market Inspector, and high-energy clowning that keeps crowds on their toes.

  • Mobile Street Theatre: Built on wheels, the stall can move between multiple pitch points across your event site throughout the day.
