SEPTEMBER - NOVEMBER 2025

Through The Artist’s Window we have been made the custodians of unit 68 which is an empty shop in Festival Place Basingstoke (in between the apple store and blacks.) We have it until the end of November.

We have started a temporary pop up arts centre offering cheap or free space for artists and creatives and delivering affordable classes and workshops for the community.

Some session will be free to access we just ask that you make a donation to Scratch Built theatre CIC.

If you are a creative and looking for a space to rehearse? Perform? or create? please click on the link below.

What is happening in the Emporium?
I'M LOOKING FOR A SPACE

18-25 year olds can come get stuck into a proper hands-on creative experience. You’ll work alongside artists, performers, set builders, lighting designers, puppet makers (yes, really), and loads of other pros to help make something amazing happen in your town.

Try your hand at things like stage design, event planning, fundraising, and more — no boring lectures, just real projects, real people, and real skills you can take with you. At the end, you’ll be part of an actual live event and walk away with an Arts Award qualification.

This is about having fun, trying stuff out, meeting brilliant people, and seeing what’s possible in the creative world — even if you don’t know what you want to do yet.

11-16 (and their grown-ups)

We meet every week at the lovely Proteus Creation Space for an hour of creativity, connection and skill-building. Young people aged 11–16 get hands-on with inspiring sessions led by professional artists — building confidence, learning new techniques and seeing that a career in the arts is 100% on the cards.

While the young artists are busy making magic, parents and carers can join a relaxed session in another room. There’s art stuff to play with, space to chat, and a chance to connect with other grown-ups parenting teens — which, let’s face it, can feel a bit lonely at times.

It’s low pressure, high impact, and a brilliant way to get creative together.
